A villanelle is a 19 line poem which has 5 stanzas of 3 lines each and the last stanza has 4 lines. This is the rhyme structure of a villanelle (all a's rhyme with each other& all b's ryhme with each other and each line of letters represents a stanza):

aba

aba
aba
abaa

An example of a villanelle is "do not go gentle into that good night" by Dylan Thomas.
