The lunch box thermos is a device that transports liquid refreshments for students back forth to school. Original thermoses were made out of lamb skin and carried wine. Thermos derives its name from the word thermal. A thermos is unique in its ability to keep liquids cool or warm depending on the substance.

Thermoses are usually carried in school lunch boxes. The average American worker owns a thermos or has owned a thermos at one time or another. Thermoses have evolved to come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Soup thermoses carry soup and help maintain the soups thermal integrity. Students love soup from a thermos.

Lunch box thermoses have a diverse number of slogans or characters displayed on their surfaces. Cartoon characters, musical artists, and movie characters are all displayed on the sides of thermoses. Most back to school, school supply lists include a lunch box thermos.

Thermoses should never be placed in a microwave when sealed. Parents and teachers use lunch box thermoses. Educational resources indicate that maintaining electrolytes found in liquids can be very helpful in the learning process. Thermoses have helped many a student with late night homework sessions.
