Pretend that your local school board is considering cutting the study of world literature from the school curriculum. Keeping in mind what you have learned about persuasive writing, state whether you believe this is a good idea, and then briefly describe one argument you would make to support your belief.

I do not believe cutting the study of world literature from the school curriculum is a good idea. World literature offers students the opportunity to gain a better understanding of different cultures, perspectives, and histories outside of their own. By studying works from various authors around the world, students can develop empathy and critical thinking skills, which are valuable in our increasingly globalized society. Additionally, exposure to world literature can help students become more open-minded and appreciative of diversity.
